Born in 1959, it is through drawing and painting that Pierre Edouard is lead towards to sculpture in which he percieves an abysmal sight of space. Human figure displays in his work as an obsessive vision, totally gravity free, bodies created by emptiness, fragments always regenerate.


« My idea of sculpture is a bit particular, it must not be totally an incarnation and needs to have the immateriality inherent to drawing. I believe I have always tended to anihilate some of sculpture fundamental principles : physical mass and gravity ».
